My apologies if this has been mentioned before.
I think it would be helpful if the author links, author pictures, and common knowledge would merge onto the dominant page when authors are combined (although I can see how the common knowledge merge might be messy).
The fact that the subordinate pages now have the monkey-error makes it difficult to manually transfer the links over because once the pages are combined, the links on the old page don't show. So, an automatic transfer would make things much easier.
Thanks!

I hate that "monkey-error". Every time I separate an improperly combined single name or surname/first initial, I have to separate out a book in order to be able to write a disambiguation notice. It's a huge pain!

I know everyone is working on LT Local, but I still think it would be wonderful if the author pictures appeared on the dominant page when authors are combined.

> 3 An old problem, but I agree. I really hate it when I combine authors after uploading a picture. And then not see it because it lost out in the combination. And then I have to do it over again with the dominant page.

I also want to strongly urge that pictures as well as CK data get automatically transferred -- or create a way to manually transfer -- to the dominant page when author pages are combined. It's such a shame when a member takes the time to find and properly verify an author picture, and then it gets lost in the shuffle!

Yes, this is very frustrating

Hi! It was a long search to identify this old request. I did spend a lot of time adding links to LT author pages during last years. While working at You have nn book and mm work by (author) missing / discrepancy I realised that I need to combine two author urls. The links where inserted to the author url which turned up to be a second level one.
Because I am using three FireFox tabs each time I combine authors I was still able to see the Common Knowledge and the links from the second level author url.
Months ago I was not able to transfer links to the new top level author url (see unable to add Wikipedia page ). I managed to find a workaround for the build in LT spam prevention by adding "?" or "?dummy" or "&dummy" to the end of the link. LT accepts these new links. Later I can use edit link and I can delete these additions.
Request: "merge" (author combination) should transfer the common knowledge and the links to the top level author urls. Such a feature is available for work combination already.
