I joined the Paulo Coelho group, http://www.librarything.com/groups/paulocoelho a week or so ago, and there are 7-8 of us, but we don't show any commonly shared books, when in fact we do share some, like some of the works of Paulo Coelho.

Is this a feature that is not regularly updated?

I just checked and they're there now. However it took a while to load, so maybe they've just refreshed today?

I think the group zeitgeists are updated fairly regularly apart from times of high site traffic/bandwidth/stress.
From what I read, this weekend was one of those times. ryn

I still don't see any book listed as commonly shared in the Paulo Coelho group page, although I can see the updates in Zeitgeist.

That's odd. It loaded very quickly today and the middle column of the Paulo Coelho group zeitgeist here http://www.librarything.com/groupzeitgeist.php?group=paulocoelho shows your number 1 group shared book is The Zahir. There's 6 of you in the group of 8 who share it. If you click on the link I've included, what do you see?

>4 ryn_books:

I think vpfluke is talking about the group profile page, not the group zeitgeist page. In the summary at the beginning, it lists the shared books as none.

Edited to fix link

Thanks for the clarification. Some of the Zeitgeist group pages take a while to load. I would have thought that the info on profile and zeitgeist pages would be in some sort of synchronicity.

The interesting thing about the most commonly shared book, is that there is one book more among six of us, The Alchemist, but this is way down the list because it is more commonly owned by others on LT

>6 vpfluke:

I posted something here because there also seems to be a problem with the unweighted ranking on the zeitgeist page (it is ranked according to weighted average).

>5 christiguc: Thanks for explaining, I misread the problem.
There's obviously a lag or disconnect between the two group pages... more easily seen on on newer group I guess. Good pickup on the unweighted one too.
I keep picturing a room of trained monkeys all using different calculators at different times of day and not sharing their info with each other. :-)
