How will privatizing Medicare and repealing ACA, better known as Obamacare, by budget reconciliation in order to escape filibuster help make America great again? Republican legislative action to begin within 6-8 months in 2017, according to Tom Price (R-GA) and Trump's possible Health and Human Services Secretary.

Sure, premiums under Obamacare rose 25% this renewal period. However, medical insurance costs rose 100% during one year in the Bush Administration.

So, privatization of Medicare is a policy designed to end affordable health care for the elderly? Period.

Why do conservatives and right wingers hate old and sick people? Why are elected Republicans on the national and state levels (governors who refuse to expand Medicaid) acting like death panels?

Some Health and Human Service, Donald and all Trump voters. Please explain.

They are too busy grabbing pussy and terrorising Muslims and Mexicans, Lime. Besides, there's something almost... unfair... about calling on their intellectual powers. One (simple) question every ten years, please.

Who's... your... Daddy?

Obviously this is wrong. That may be why no one has responded to your post. When you're ready to think rationally about the problem, let me know, or do a Google search with an open mind.

I have to find new insurance again soon. Third year in a row.

It seems strange to me when Republicans say they want to repeal the ACA but keep the mandate to not reject people due to a preexisting condition since to me that is the essence of the ACA. From that comes the requirement for everyone to get heath insurance so there are enough healthy people in the plans to balance out the sick ones. If the Republicans can figure out a way to do that without the mandate for everyone to buy insurance then I'd be peachy keen with that, but the only other way I can see to do it is to do away with insurance companies entirely and go for nationalized healthcare, which I would also be fine with.

#1--I don't know if the republicans hate old people--they depend on them for votes. Sick people on the other hand I don't think they tolerate at all. Back to the old people--as I said I don't think they hate them but they love corporations much more and especially if the corporations have a predatory capitalistic business model--which is pretty much like every business in the health care field which is why we need to knock out insurance companies altogether and cap the profits of pharmaceuticals and hospitals, nursing homes and dentists, etc. Unfortunately the ACA didn't go down that road nearly far enough--though it did make things somewhat better. The republicans though will replace it with shit. 2020 ain't going to get here fast enough. Personally I hate corporations, it almost doesn't really matter which or what they do. Practically all of them are parasitical if not predatory. I'm almost 60 years old and I'm already wishing my next four years is going to fly by.
