Lady goes out disguised as serving maid, chased and caught by man in carriage She is drugged by servant for (Russian ?) prince for one night stand, who thinks she is willing No one believes she is a real lady. She is taken aboard ship as the Prince and his sister are heading home (to Russia ?) She is forced to serve as a maid to Prince's sister on board. She paints portrait of the Prince's sister. The sister is really conceited and spoiled. She is taken to Prince's home and deserted by Prince, where she is forced (unknown to him) to scrub floors, etc and is beaten by woman in charge of servants. I believe the Prince comes back for her The cover shows a woman dressed as maid running, looking back at a carriage that is chasing her. I read it about 20 years ago Please help....I loved this book and want to reread it. Thank you in advance.
