Thanks for the link Oregon!
I linked to this site from another thread and it's the page about the photojournalist style exhibit about Darfur that's currently on display at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.

I like the site www.SaveDarfur.org which is the organization that is mentioned on the back of The Translator as where Daoud Hari is currently working. There is a wealth of info there including how to hold fundraiser/awareness events, (and locations of those already scheduled), videos of US Presidential candidates's positions, latest news updates, background information etc.

Thank you streamsong, for the info on their website.
This morning I've had a postive response from the librarian at Hillsboro Public Library (Main) and they expect to order The Translator - so I will look for it to be on their shelves soon.
The woman with whom I spoke didn't know about LT, so I had the joy of sharing about what we do here, also.

#4 - Thats really great Panda! Hopefully it will be a popular book at the library and hopefully the fact that they have it will make it easier for you to encourage friends and neighbors to - literally - check it out!
#3 - I agree with streamsong that the Save Darfur site is an excellent resource! I rarely say this, but theirs is an email list that I'm very glad to be on and encourage others to join. They frequently send out updates with easy links to send messages to the White House and Congresspeople speaking up in regards to current problems. I really appreciate how they make activism so easy.

There's a new website up specifically for the book The Translator. It's packed with information as well as photos and a tour schedule!

We just finished watching the video God Grew Tired of Us. It is about the Lost Boys of Sudan and follows three of them on their journey to America to make better lives for themselves. A great video.
