Leave it to Barney to pull a video clip of a dead guy that's at least 12 years old.

>3 John5918: Wrong again, chief. It was neither random nor Googled. But it's so fun to insult people, you couldn't resist.

Actually that wasn't intended as an insult and my apologies if it came over as such. It was a comment on many of the posts on this forum.

I love that sketch. Carlin effectively puts humans in their place. And he's right. The planet will remain. It's sad that other animals go down before the humans, but Carlin with two sharpened swordsides is right.

I'm real leery about getting political insight of any kind from 'comedians'. I liked Carlin but he's been gone a long time--we are living in a completely different political landscape from even a decade ago and he would be grandpa today if he were still alive. I'm not a huge fan of John Oliver or Seth Meyer and I really don't like sanctimonious Bill Maher at all. I agree (only) sometimes with Jimmy Dore but he's not really that funny and when he loses it he goes shrill. Bill Burr is funny but he's kind of a dipshit. I've always liked Lewis Black--those exasperated tones and he's a former postal worker but he's kind of old too.

I'd never heard of this bloke, but having viewed the video, I don't find him funny. He provides poor caricatures and some half-truths and weak analysis. Not convincing at all.

Although I did like the joke about the only reason humans appeared was in order to produce plastics...

Here is a more modern humorous video on the climate crisis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOmdkN6MOwU&feature=youtu.be

#8--if you're talking about Carlin he was well loved by a lot of people at least in the United States. He passed away quite a while ago though.

He was THE Hippy Dippy Weather Man. I would have loved to hear what comments he would come up with today.
