Let's get this started.
Joe Biden, doddering old fool, is at old-age-dementia's/alzheimer's "door." He's also temperamentally and physically impaired and, on those counts as well, unfit for the office of president.
He has, in fact, one and only one thing to recommend him: As president, he can and shall divert and foreclose on the numerous current Trump-Justice-Department investigations into multifarious schemes of criminal and moral skulduggery on the part of numerous officials of the Obama administrations--including, hardly least, people in the Obama Justice Department itself. That is exactly what these criminally-liable people--people who now live under the cloud of William Barr's Justice Department inquiries into their official acts while "serving" (themselves and their party cronies) in the Obama administration--want and hope for above and beyond all else.

Let's get this ended: is anyone here in favor of a Biden presidency?

Let's make this clear--Donald Trump is batshit crazy--does not understand history or the law and hardly ever reads anything (speaking of which he has a 2nd grade reading level)---makes all kinds of spelling and grammatical errors whenever he's on his favorites twitter site and when he's speaking he's almost always stammering his way through mispronouncing words and obsessively repeating all kinds of crazy lies and memes. He's a paranoid narcissistic schizophrenic dipshit and a spoiled brat of a 70+ year old. Most pre-teenagers are more capable of handling his job than he is. Beyond all that his criminal instincts have pushed government corruption into unchartered territory. He should be locked up.
4jjwilson61
Let's also be clear that this impeachment inquiry is about Trump making up shit and trying to force other countries to take it seriously which he would then use to bolster the credibility of his made-up shit in this country. If this was really about corruption in general then why is his political opponent the only person being targeted and why has he never shown any interest in fighting corruption in the first three years of his presidency?

Joe Biden is not some great deal as a potential President. But anyone at this point is better than the Orange Traitor - except , perhaps, one of his insane sycophants or followers, that is.
Let's just admit that any of the people running for the Democratic nomination for POTUS would be better than the Orange Traitor - and I include Marianne Williams - in fact, at this point I would rather have one of Marianne's crystals as POTUS than the Orange Traitor.
As for who will get the Democratic nomination, I will make a prediction here - it will not be Joe Biden. My money at this time is on Elizabeth Warren. I predict her running mate will be another woman and/or a black or Hispanic person - e.g., Booker, Castro, Klobuchar, Harris.
But if I am wrong and it turns out to be Biden, then fine. Senile is better than the insane evil stupid ignorant greedy self-serving ManBearPig we have now.
If the Democrats manage to put up a candidate more disgusting and unacceptable than the Orange Traitor then god damn, I don't know - it will then be utterly shit-AND-go-blind time. Four more years of the Orange Traitor and the rule of law will be a memory - and the anarchists will finally realize their dream, i.e., no government (for all practical purposes).

I thought I heard somewhere that Trump mentioned seeking dirt on E. Warren, as well as Biden, in a phone call to China. Y'know; just in case.

#6--he won't stop at Biden. This is the way he runs--he collects dirt on his opponents and if there isn't any dirt he manufactures it. He's left nothing for his own party to run on really other than protecting him. They really have no legislative agenda--they ran out of things after the tax break to corporations and the rich. They're left only with divisive shit like the wall and their anti-abortion bs and doing nothing about assault weapons or the environment.

Other than that she claimed to be a member of the First Nations people when she clearly is not, what other possible "dirt" is out there on Senator Warren? Does anyone know?
Surely on the list of the Orange Traitor's Top 100 Acts of Evil the # 100th would be worst than the first on Warren's top list of bad acts.
I mean, motherfuck, god dam.

#8--FWIW my wife thinks she might have Native American heritage as well. I think there are a lot of people who do who don't have definitive proof but they hear something from their parents or grandparents and assume they do and sometimes that is the case and sometimes maybe not. Warren was born in Oklahoma and there is real Native American history from there. For Warren it would be something to be proud of. For someone like Trump (because he's a shitbird) it's something to denigrate others over.
10JGL53
>9 lriley:
I think the original criticism was that Warren listed her race as Native American back when she applied at some university or college, probably when she was 20 years old or so.
I think she has admitted to only being 1/32 Native American, however.
So, yes, regarding heritage, e.g. in my mother's family there was always a rumor of having a Choctaw ancestor but turns out it was wrong, as I had a DNA search a few years ago that came back as 94 per cent Northern European white and 6 per cent Semite. So unless the Mormons are right and the First Nation peoples are lost tribes of Israel - lol - the rumors of the Choctaw ancestry were incorrect.
As is well known now there is a small per cent of First Nation and African ancestry in many, many U.S. white people who assume they are "pure" white, and of course something like 80 per cent of "Black" people in the U.S. have some white ancestry.
But all that falls under the category of entertainment. Don't mean shit, or at least it shouldn't.

All of our Presidential choices are susceptible to parody. But in the hands of professionals what person in the world isn't?

Anything is better than the shit sandwich we are all being served now.
That frightening orange glow in the east? - that is either the start of WWIII or another appearance on the White House lawn by The Blob that will eventually eat us all if it is not stopped - soon.
It is all fun and games at SNL but one of these sumbitches better figure out a way to get him or herself elected POTUS next year.

The Obama-administration-wide Russia-gate scandal has just "metastasized"

Obama and Biden:
Three Scandals, One Day | The Russian collusion hoax, Burisma, and the disastrous Afghanistan war just blew up in their self-proclaimed “scandal-free” faces. | by Julie Kelly |
December 9th, 2019
It is of course entirely conceivable that the national Democratic party executive leadership is actually insane enough to continue to back the candidacy of former Vice President Joe Biden in the face of recent developments. We live in times in which we witness a powerful elite repeatedly "double down" on their previous arrogant defiance of reality's damning facts concerning their own corruption with each shocking fresh revelation.
The Biden campaign may therefore continue for some time to stalk the earth, a mummified zombie, its arms outstretched before it, marching in a stiff-legged waddling gate, its tattered corpse-wrappings flapping behind. The national Democratic party's elite may carry on stubbornly trying to prop up the crumbling remnants of the Obama administration's “legacy” and its veteran officials, can try chanting to themselves and their co-conspirators, “We aren't dead yet!” but, as they do, the facts shall remain and only worsen—just as they did for the Nixon White House from the day that the Watergate night-time break-in and burglary were discovered and brought to public attention in the pages of The Washington Post Sunday, June 18th, 1972.(1)
For the Democrats to nominate former Vice-president Joe Biden now would be something akin to Republicans having decided to nominate Nixon's former Vice-president, Spiro Agnew, at their party's national convention in Kansas City in August of 1976 to run for president.
But, today we live in times which are that bizarre. This is an elite which is desperately trying to stave off a further unravelling of their record—one which they know is still far from having been completely exposed. But, as these scandals metastasize, they can see the facade covering their corruption crack at the seams. Obama's State Department, his Justice Department with its Attorneys-General Holder and Lynch and his 17-intelligence-agency group, the United States Intelligence Community, under the direction of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and, now, his Department of Defense, over his eight-year tenure with that part of the 18-year-long war in Afghanistan, are all directly implicated in this set of scandals.
They are these emerging facts which were, throughout 2015 and 2016, behind the all-out effort to ensure that Obama's administration was followed by Hillary Clinton's presidency. Only by Hillary Clinton's election were these matters going to remain safely hidden from the public's awareness. This also explains the degree of shock and horror when that election failed to come off as planned, as intened and as entirely expected to happen. Everything since the November 2016 election of Donald Trump has been a highly-coordinated and ever-more desperate effort at the control of actual damage and prevention of the revelations which threaten more potential damage—and criminal liability—for acts which are now done and cannot be undone and for policies which had long and dangerous momentum behind them—too long to be reversed or easily contained and explained away if facts about them continued to surface.
What has only recently happened now threatens, with time, to ultimately place the Watergate scandal into a relatively puny place in the history of high-level national political party scandals. This scandal is a Democratic party, Obama administration scandal, not a Trump administration scandal. Trump's targeting—both personal and administration—is a coordinated victimization by official agents of the former administration, aided and abetted by the friendly elements in elite-led national press corps—itself deeply invested in saving these former officials' reputations by stoking the campaign to get Trump out of office by any means necessary and at all cost.

5 Held in Plot to Bug Democrats' Office Here

(Washington, D.C.) Five men, one of whom said he is a former employee of the Central Intelligence Agency, were arrested at 2:30 a.m. yesterday in what authorities described as an elaborate plot to bug the offices of the Democratic National Committee here. …

#13--Interesting. A hard right wing media entity blaming Obama entirely for the Afghanistan fiasco. Who started it? Bush--who hasn't stopped it?--both Obama and Trump. So--conclusion: It's all Obama's fault. Sounds good to Prox.
On the question of the Russian thing that's supported pretty much by all our intelligence agencies--not Ukraine as the Trump administration would have it and which is almost certainly a hoax. That Trump has been at war with these intelligence agencies and the State Dept. goes without saying. When he takes the side of Vladimir Putin all the time--when his only affinities are to hard right wing dictatorship governments or when he uses his puppet Giuliani as a shadow State Dept. cabinet minister or Gordon Sondland as a defacto Ukraine ambassador it's definitely not a good look and calls into question Trump's ability to handle foreign diplomacy at all. So Trump is a dipshit and a liar.
On Burisma and Biden. Do I think Hunter did anything illegal? No. Was he qualified for the position? No. Was it ethical? No. Are Joe or Hunter Biden's explanations satisfactory? Not really. Want to investigate some more? Go ahead. I'm interested and I don't like Biden. Do I think they'll find anything really criminal? No. Unethical? Probably.
On Burisma and Trump. Was Donald trying to game the next election by dirtying up an opponent? Yeah, he was. Was it unethical. Yeah, it was. Was it criminal or impeachable? Yeah, on both counts. Is there good reason not to impeach? No there is not a good reason to not impeach. Why not? Because what he's tried with Biden he's likely to try with others. He wants to game the next election and doesn't care how or who helps him. He will again and again go to foreign actors if necessary and that is a crime and an abuse of power.....there's no question about it.

It's more than a hoax; it's Russian propaganda. And Trump (and by extension the entire Republican establishment) has bought into it hook, line, and sinker.

#15--I don't even think they believe Trump and his closest cronies but they've bought into it because it's convenient to them.....because they need some kind of rationale to support even if it's a completely bullshit rationale. Look at Prox---he's got to know Trump's shtick is crap. He doesn't care---he's only interested that his guy stays in power.
And Trump has defended Putin's government every step of the way for as long as he's been POTUS.

Which is getting close to the definition of treason, except we aren't in an official war with Russia (some might call Russian election interference and hacking an undeclared war).

I read somewhere this week that US enlisted troops believe that Russia is a friend/ally in the same proportion of Trump's popularity - somewhere in the 30s. The percentage in officers was much lower. I wish I could find that article.
