big cigar smoker--has stated in the past he doesn't think smoking is linked to cancer and that cigarette manufacturers are good for the economy....and now he's got himself an advanced lung cancer diagnosis. I could say good luck but I don't think I would feel very sincere about that so I'm not going to--so instead I'll say cycle of life Rush---looks like you hurried yours up a bit and that we won't have to listen to any more of your Nostrasdumbass predictions. You won't be missed at least by me.

He's a jackass who's had a pernicious influence but some of the gloating about this news I've witnessed elsewhere on the Internet reminds me of Limbaugh-style bullying.

It's anthropomorphic dog crap like him that ruins the dream, turning it more so into a nightmare.

The world will smell much better when he finally exits stage right and takes his act to Hell where it so obviously belongs.

I look forward to his coming death.

#2---this guy has been sowing division for decades. Not only that but it's been very lucrative for him. He's gotten very rich spreading malice and hate. There is really almost nothing positive to say about him--as far as I can tell in his time on earth he's made the world a much nastier place to live in for lots of people. We could go down a whole litany of things he's come out in support of or against and it's almost all bad. So if he does kick the bucket I'm not going to be sorry about it and it's not like the bucket isn't out there for me to kick too--I'm well aware of it.

Lung cancer is bad--just ask any coal miner. Inferring for years that tobacco doesn't lead to lung cancer has been just another one of his fucked up takes and ironically he now has lung cancer. Maybe he can argue that point with his cancer treatment specialist.

Or maybe he could spend his last few months/years publicly and strongly affirming the link between tobacco and lung cancer with as much gusto as he has denied it in the past, and at least try to make some of his mindless followers change their habits.

Of course one more case of lung cancer doesn't prove the point. The extra case being Rush Limburger doesn't add anything.

#5--FWIW most people have some foible or another and often are stubborn about them giving them up. More often than not though people reach some level of acknowledgement of their foibles--don't deny scientific fact anyway. To continue on Mr. L here--denying science--denying inconvenient truths and making up shit wholecloth is part of his shtick. So he tells his followers again and again not to believe climate scientists either or he tells them again and again that Obama is a closet communist born in Kenya and a host of other bullshit and makes a market out of all his lies and gets filthy rich. Limbaugh learned a long time ago that spreading bullshit and lies can be very lucrative and really he never cared whether his lies were harmful or not.

So anyway then the orange colored numbnutz gave Limburger the presidential medal of freedom last night during the state of the union address. Just made his little heart go pitty pat.

AOC rightly described it as nauseating.

On the subject of these medals of freedom--just a quick scan of them--the list of good people getting them and the list of shitbirds getting them seem to be about equal. If I were Rosa Parks or Martin Luther King for instance and I'm looking at the likes of Margaret Thatcher, Milton Friedman and Limbaugh I'd be for returning the medal and have my name erased. Not that they can because they're deceased but being in some way equated says to me medals like that are pretty much worthless.

Presenting the Freedom medal to Limbaugh decreases the
value of getting the medal. Spreading hate and fear for more
than two decades is not anything that should be honored. One
can just imagine who will be getting the medal if Trump has
another 5 years in the WH (Hannity, among others!).
