I'm in Glassholm with Neil Williamson's The Moon King. A new author to me, and I'm enjoying it immensely. Engagingly wacky.

Finished Tooth and Claw by Jo Walton. Still a favorite read.

Finished Gemini Cell by Myke Cole. When I first started the book, I expected it to be military SF. What it wound up being was a military urban fantasy horror romance...I think. Definitely not for everyone.

Added The Raven Spell by Luanne G. Smith to my rotation.

>11 Unreachableshelf: I wondered which of the 2 "Malice" books I've read that was, but when I saw your touchstone I realised it's neither - that's the 3rd book with that name hehe

Returning to an obscure country of Cherek, in The River South.

So far it's showing similar strengths to the first book... lovely "less is more" sort of nuance to the worldbuilding and storytelling, so there's just enough information to give scope for the imagination, but with the knack of picking the *right* details to capture that depth, not needing to belabor the point with every little bit and bob of detail.

Really, really hoping we get might still get more books from this author.

Just left the UK, and mostly Wales, in various times & dimensions, finishing the Dark is Rising sequence by reading The Grey King and Silver on the Tree in tandem. Enjoyed the series as much as the first time; very skillful use of mythology & archetype. The ending struck me as more melancholy than I had remembered.

>18 rshart3: I had a huge happy-dance when I first found out about it. :) If you've read The Sword of Winter, it's still a good idea to revisit that story with Mapping Winter. I think there are some significant revisions that make it a worthwhile reminder before jumping into the new one.
