>8 johnsimpson: Congrats, John, on your first BFB! I've only read Gone with the Wind from your list. I do have The Forsyte Saga on the TBR; maybe this is the year. I'm determined to read To Serve Them All My Days this year.

>8 johnsimpson: Oh my, her Cormoran Strike books are getting fatter and fatter, aren't they? This is intimidating. Congrats on finishing it!
I've read a few from your list, and I gave up on Gary Jennings after reading Spangle and Raptor. Way too many gruesome details, there's a horrifying accident in Spangle which I am reminded of every time I watch certain circus acts.

John, I see we have a couple of unnumbered books on the main list, and you have not added this one. I'd like to add mine, but don't want to until you've done yours.
I notice that the person who added those 2 books is someone who has no data in the LT system, except that he joined on Feb 21, 2023. Seems weird.

>24 bryanoz:, Hi Bryan mate, it has been a poor year on the reading front for me and the last two months have been hectic and traumatic and still not settled down yet. You have had a stupendous reading year on here mate with time to add to it. I would like to match those sort of numbers so you have set the bar for us all, it won't be next year with so much going on at the moment and i will be away for two weeks in the sun celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, i will have reading matter but how much will be done is a different matter.
Have a great Christmas mate and all the family, always nice to have these chats with you Bryan and remember it's the Ashes next winter so lots for us to chat about.

Hi John, life does get in the way of reading sometimes but the books will be waiting for when we have time. Congrats on 40 years of wedded bliss!
Ashes next year, will be interesting to see if you guys will still be Bazz-Balling, I'm not sure it is always the best strategy but it is always exciting!
Cheers mate and happy holidays!
