I'm not a BFB planner! They just of sort of catch my eye or come my way via BB's. However, in 2023, I would like to read:
The Journeyer by Gary Jennings An absolute beast of a book about the Polo family, ala James Michener, almost 900 pages. I've started this and am on page 100, just enthralled!
Marie Antoinette by Stefan Zweig a non-fiction account
Sister Wendy's 1000 Masterpieces by Wendy Beckett This is a non-fiction about 1000 of the world's greatest paintings. My goal is to read about several paintings weekly over the course of the year. I can't just sit down and read the entire book through and enjoy it.
A Prisoner of Birth by Jeffrey Archer, probably one of my favorite Brit authors. This is a modern re-telling of The Count of Monte Cristo.
Just started Barnaby Rudge for my yearly Dickens read.
