Summary: Harlequin/ Mills & Boon Contemporary, Second Chance Romance. Poor young man that turns into a tycoon + rich teenager; relatonship was torn apart by her cruel controlling father; story is set in a seaside town.
Recently I've read Cinderella Hired for His Revenge by Emmy Grayson which instantly reminded me of another Harlequin/ Mills & Boon contemporary romance released a couple of years ago, but I can't remember either the title or the author.
As in Emmy Grayson's book, this one is about a second chance romance between a rich girl and a previously-poor boy, whose break-up was maliciously engineered by the girl's powerful father. Years later, they meet again, their roles reversed.
At the present time, the male protagonist returns to their hometown (which I believe it's in the southern U.S.; not sure about this) filthy rich thanks to his successful business, whereas the female protagonist lives modestly down by the beach (I can remember if she's an artist or owns a bar frequented by tourists and surfers).
Back when they were teenager lovers, she got pregnant. But before they could elope, her evil father forced them apart by telling the Hero that the heroine had a abortion (in fact, she had suffered a miscarriage). Her father also made her tell the H it was over on the phone and, to protect him from her father's fury, she pushed him away.
Fast forward several years, the H is with a vengeance and determined to settle down on the former property of the h's family, since her father is dead. Believing she got hid of their unborn child, he wants to punish the spoiled rich girl who toyed with his affections, hence he concocts a plan to blackmail her into marriage.
After lots of angst by misunderstanding lies, they finally find their HEA. Her father's lawyer plays a major role in revealing the whole truth.
It's none of those below:
Vows They Can't Escape by Heidi Rice
The Pregnancy Contract by Yvonne Lindsay
Bound as His Business-Deal Bride by Kali Anthony
Marriage on Demand by Susan Mallery
I've already searched through Google, Google Books and Amazon, and couldn't come up with anything. I hope you guys can help me find this book. Many thanks in advance.

Found it. It’s called The Pregnancy Secret by Maggie Cox.
As usual, I misremembered some things.
- The story is set in an English seaside town (dunno why I thought it was in the US).
- There's a gap of 17 years between their last encounter and the present time.
- The Hero is back in town to buy back and restore his parents’ old house and has no intention of screwing with heroine's life or anything related. In fact, he believes she doesn't even live there anymore.
- The heroine is an arts and crafts teacher and also owns an art supplies shop.
- Her father was a snobby and prejudiced doctor, well regarded by his local peers.
- I got confused with the profession of her father's friend. He wasn't a lawyer. Both man were doctors. The other doctor colluded with her father to make her have the abortion.
- She indeed had a termination. Her father forced her into having it. Upon becoming aware of his daughter's pregnancy, he hit her hard, and knocked her to the ground then dragged her to a discreet hospital in another town to have the procedure done.
- At present time the main characters keep bump into each other until they rekindle their passion.
I racked my brain and the internet, trying to find this book. In my defense I believe this is another classic case of neither the book cover nor the title matching the storyline.
I guess we can call it a touchstone, can't we?
Hope I can find the other challenge posted here.
