I've just finished First Person Singular a wonderful short story collection by Haruki Murakami. The stories all entail a narrator looking back at a particular memory in his life, almost all of which have some sort of slight (or not so slight) surreal twist. You can find my longer review on my 50-Book Challenge thread.
Next up for me will be Soul Mountain by Xingjian Gao.

I'm listening to the audiobook of We Know You Remember by Swedish author Tove Alsterdal. It won the Nordic Glass Key award so I figured it would be great, but to be truthful, I'm finding it rather dull.
In paper books, I'm reading the ridiculously silly The Road to Roswell by Connie Willis. This book about alien abduction is hilarious.

I just finished Burning Bright and just started on the final book in the New Moon trilogy by Midori Snyer, Beldan's Fire. Continue to read in small bits The Vaster Wilds and in larger segments The Lady in the Tower.

American Like Me – America Ferrara (editor)
Digital audiobook read by the various authors
4****
Subtitle: Reflections on Life Between Cultures
America Ferrara is the editor (and contributor) to this collection of essays, written by thirty-two people in the public eye who, like Ferrara, live a life that encompasses more than one culture. Some of the stories are humorous, some heartbreakingly touching. All are honest and poignant and heartfelt.
The audiobook is narrated by each author of his/her own essay. This was very effective for such personal stories.

This week I've been reading Full Throttle by Joe Hill. I've only read the first 2 stories so far, but I think Joe wants us to be nicer to each other.
