I had an odd result after clicking a link - I did an author search for the Disambiguation Page for James Patrick.
https://www.librarything.com/search.php?search=James+patrick&searchtype=auth...
In the results, the link for "James Patrick" leads to the James Preller author page instead of the James Patrick disambiguation page.
The address link behind the name "James Patrick" is
https://www.librarything.com/author/prellerjames-6414

That link works - brings up the Disambiguation Page for James Patrick.
I just tried the search again and clicking James Patrick still brings me to the James Preller page. I wonder why this is redirecting to James Preller.

>3 smcwl: This is happening because "Patrick, James" was added into the Common Knowledge Other Names field by tjsjohanna back in 2009. I can't see other evidence that James Preller has written under the name James Patrick.
An entry for https://www.librarything.com/author/jamespatrick does appear about half way down the search results page.

Thank you.
James Preller has used James Patrick as a one of his pseudonyms. Since several authors are named James Patrick, I probably should take my next question, how the CK pseudonym for Preller can refer to only one of those authors, to Combiners. Thank you

This sounds like a bug I reported in 2016 which has never been addressed. https://www.librarything.com/topic/228563#n8259612 - if you search for James Patterson the first search result is for https://www.librarything.com/author/marklundpatterson-4581412

Seems like poor search results, similarly reported per >7 r.orrison:.
For devs:
1. Use the site search ("Search LibraryThing") to search for "james patrick". Filter results by Authors: https://www.librarything.com/search.php?search=james+patrick&searchtype=auth...
2. Click on the "James Patrick" result, should be result 8 in the list.
Result: the link goes to the author page for James Preller: https://www.librarything.com/author/prellerjames, who is the 2nd divided author under James Patrick: https://www.librarything.com/author/patrickjames-2
Is this because he's the most popular author listed at https://www.librarything.com/author/patrickjames, or?
