An idea, add a option to search in the DB a author already in a book. For example, when adding a new book the author can be selected by a scroll or by simply add some letters and the search is made into the db if possible.

Please read the group description. This is for STAFF to announce new features.
BTW No. Even if manually entering it is just as easy to type the author name as to scfill through a lot of author names.

>1 FlavioMiguelPereira: If you've entered an author into a specific field in the past, then it will come up by typing the first few letters. It won't come up if that name has never been entered by you in that field. (Which is annoying when you're entering author names for an anthology...)

I think that's a function of your browser, not the site. In any case, I agree with >2 MarthaJeanne:.

>5 paradoxosalpha: People who don't enter manually seem very afraid of it. You have hundreds of manually entered books. I have over a thousand. The OP has 14. We know it is very easy and straightforward. He wants to make it more complicated.
