I have a number of records with wrong/missing data in a field that I cannot correct using Power edit.
As all the entries need the same value, it could be done very easily via an Excel spreadsheet.
If I just exported
Work id
Edition Id
FieldX
changed FieldX in Excel
reimported
Would LT be kind and just update or would it ONLY add these as duplicates.
If the above does not work, any suggestions for alternative solutions.

This is why I wish there were more options for Power Edit... or that the import/export loop would be closed!

So how do you back up your library entries, just in case you make a big mistake say in power edit?
One would expect that you can backup ALL fields and equally reimport ALL fields without losing any data or having LT second guess and "improve" the data being imported. e.g. ISBN lookup for "better fields.

>5 JonathonL88: We do track Edit History, now, on individual book pages and in "Your books" across your catalog. (There's a sub-page in the dropdown next to the List | Covers toggle.) You can Restore certain edits, and filter by Power Edits, etc.

Where can I find documentation on this please.

>7 JonathonL88: The Talk post announcing the feature lives in the New Features Group: https://www.librarything.com/topic/373960, although I'm not sure Help documentation has been written for it, yet.
