This was raised in Combiners https://www.librarything.com/topic/384981
The problem is it is impossible to un-alias an author.
Go to Angus King
In this case Angus King (2) https://www.librarything.com/a/19632144 has been mistakenly aliased into Angus S. King, Jr. https://www.librarything.com/a/15848698/Angus-S-King-Jr

Edit: good to have an actual example to work with, thanks for posting one.

https://www.librarything.com/a/79345/Edward-Foley I do not believe that Edward Foley 1 should be aliased to Edward B. Foley.

>4 MarthaJeanne: You are absolutely right. Would it be acceptable to change the author on one of his books to Edward Bernard Foley (not an existing author), then alias to that author?
6MarthaJeanne
>5 jbergerot: Why? While that seems to be his legal name, he writes as Edward Foley, and is refered to as Edward Foley. Why stick him under a name that isn't generally used?
If you don't want him losted as EF1, It would make more sense to change Edward Foley 2 to Edward B Foley on the work to match the book cover and change the author on the EF3 work to match the edition being used (no author) or the Google books author (Ann Foley). Edward is the Amazon author.

>6 MarthaJeanne: I have no objection to having him listed as Edward Foley 1, but at the moment there's no way to undo the alias to Edward B. Foley. I guess I should just be patient and wait until this bug is fixed instead of trying to force a solution now. Thanks for your help!

Having another example that has not been resolved might even help the devs figure it out.

I have de-aliased this author. All authors can now be de-aliased.
