On the book page, if one doesn't own the book, there is an option to click
~Add to your library~. I would like to be able to click it, then walk to the shelf and pick up the book, please. This would end all of that driving to the book store and paying for it business. Or that dreary search Amazon etc for a copy and wait for days for it to arrive.
Perhaps sometime after collections?
* not sure if humor is allowed here, takes a chance anyway*

*giggles* There used to be a thread like this....
One of the best "suggestions" I heard in that one was something along the lines of LT automatically reminding you which books you already have, while at a bookstore, so you don't buy a duplicate.

In all seriousness, I'd be great if a bookstore in a really hot book town—like Brookyln?—had a delivery option. They'd just partner with a local chinese restaurant and hey presto, right?

>4 timspalding:, I have that. Of course, it took marrying a bookseller to get it, but it works for me.

just a note..
at 3 am ( don't ask) I realized that I had just purchased a copy of a book I already have.
So Heather, I could have used that option!

8: I might mooch the duplicate from you, if it isn't an online order that you can cancel. ;)
