Go to group tab at the top of this page and find a Twilight group. We don't want to talk about them here.

Here is an active Twilight group if you can't find one. I'm sure there are a lot of people there who have read the books and have an opinion.

This is why, though I can't say I hate Twilight as I've never read it, I cannot categorize it as good literature. It seems to churn out enthusiasts that don't even bother navigating a website to find others with similar interests. They just gush randomly. I didn't see this happening with Harry Potter fans - at least not on this level.

This doesn't apply to those who are avid readers who happen to read the Twilight books for light pleasure reading - just the ones who think they're the best books evar!

Hi Shelby,

I see your new to LT. If, as cal8769 wrote, you go to the top of the page, hit the "group" tag, search the word "twilight", you'll see there are 40+ Twilight groups.

I'm sure you'll find lots of conversation and friends with people who are checking in with these groups on a regular basis!

Have fun and welcome!

Yeah, I'm really cranky today, I don't mean to attack new members. Welcome to LT Shelby!

I hit "ignore" on all the Twilight groups (something I never thought I would use) it makes me less cranky when I see the newbies on Book Talk, which, I think, is the first place I would go too.

I love the Twilight groups when they get co-opted by MrAndrew. Then it's fun. Not fair, but fun. k4k

ETA: I should also add my welcome, Shelby! Have fun!

I think the Twilight groups are probably the best place to go, but there was another thread on this topic in this group recently

http://www.librarything.com/topic/58147#top

though a quick summary of the thread would be - both Edward and James were seen as prejudiced, James did have the whole Bible-named-after-him thing as a plus, but the whole issue really came down to your feelings on pantaloons.

Or your feelings in pantaloons. Wearing them, i find that i'm much more inclined to Team Edward. When i'm pantaloonless, i tend towards Team Jacob.

>#11: All's fair in love and Twilight.

Welcome Shelby!
