I read this book approx 15 yrs ago as a kid and remember that some guy was after this little girl who could move things with her mind. She found others like her - all of the kids seemed to have silver eyes.

The Girl With the Silver Eyes by Willo Davis Roberts. Really a good one.

I agree with your statement there, mckait! It always seems as though whenever there is a book I'll just know as soon as I read the thread title, someone else has already given the answer by the time I see it!

The Girl With the Silver Eyes is an excellent book. I am fairly sure I got my copy of the book from either a school book fair or one of the book order fliers, back when I was in elementary school. It's been a while since I've read it; I should rectify that situation.

It's what you get when I don't go to bed like a normal person. I love this book - I just ran across it and read it again. It holds up remarkably well.

Bah, I knew this one too! I loved this book as a kid, but the cover freaked me out... something about the way the girl was looking at me really bothered me, so I had to put a Santa sticker over her face. :)

The Apple Paperbacks one where she's standing outside her apartment building. There's not really a clear picture of it on LT to see how freaky she looks.

I'd scan mine and upload it, but again: Santa head. :)

I always liked that picture. Then I bought a hardcover version for posterity, with the girl wearing huge glasses and levitating an apple. I just can't get used to the new one, and keep looking for my old silver cover.
