Starred Topics- Book Talk

Not sure if this is just me or if it's a bug, but if anyone knows you all would: I have starred a certain thread (I'm not proud of it, but go with me here)-http://www.librarything.com/topic/62432#1284819

Not only is the topic no longer listed when I go to Book Talk, but it no longer shows when I toggle the "my starred posts" on my homepage. However, a few other threads that I've starred still do show up. Anyone know what's going on? I feel a little Twilight Zone-ish (pun not intended). Thanks!

Is it possible that you accidentally clicked the ignore (x) icon too?

Just in case, try going to the main Talk page and click on (more) on the left sidebar, then click Ignore, which will give you a list of your ignored posts.

No, that's not it, but thanks. I'm guessing that if no one else is seeing this problem it must be on my end somehow- I just can't figure out how!

Hmm, the time it happened to me, I eventually realized that the thread was in a group that I had put on ignore; but that wouldn't apply in your case.

Sounds like a problem I've just noticed: The "New Talk flagging features" thread in the "New Features" group (http://www.librarything.com/topic/65287) isn't showing up on my lists, not "Your groups", nor "Your posts", nor "Your starred" -- though it should be in all three. Other posts in New Features are showing up, other posts of mine are showing up, and other starred posts are showing up.

Confirming what rorrison in 5 said. Following his link I was astonished to see that there's a new post of his that hasn't shown up in any of the usual places.

Out of curiosity I then went looking for that thread about inappropriate flagging. It shows up in Site Talk but not in general listings like My Groups.

There's something wonky here.

Hmm, could it have anything to do with the fact that both of those threads have flagged posts in them??? Some rogue code in Tim's new flagging system??

That certainly seems like a possibility. Good thought!

I'm glad that others are seeing the disappearing posts (you know what I mean!). I was feeling really badly last night about posting this. Hopefully it clears up soon though, it's a little weird to watch.

Tim stated in another thread that any threads with a single post that are heavily flagged will disappear, maybe his code is ignoring the fact there is more than one post in a thread.

P.S. I am having trouble getting to the thread rorrison mentioned as well.

I also have this missing thread problem, but it's not as bad as the problem that I'll never, ever be able to unsee the thread in the link in the OP! My eyes, my eyes!

Oops! Sorry about that! The reason I wanted to find that thread was because my two friends and I, all grown adults, laughed so hard over it the other night that we fell on the floor laughing, and they now want LT accounts!

No update on the missing threads ?

Bummer. I know what I am missing because of a couple of threads talking about it, but I wonder what I might not know I am missing ?
