Hello. I just LibraryThing and this group on the recommendation of my daughter, Marcia, whom you may know as allthesedarnbooks. I haven't kept track of all the books I've read this year, but I think I've probably read between 25 and 50. My goal for the rest of the year is 25, and next year I hope to reach the whole 75 with the rest of you. Here are my last two reads:

1. Silver Swan by Benjamin Black Interesting Irish mystery. I'm going to read his other novel Christine Falls

2. Vineyard Chill by Phillip R. Craig Light enjoyable reading, would be especially fun if you've visited Martha's Vineyard. I've read others by Phillip Craig, unfortunately he passed away so this is his last book of a long series.

I'm just learning how to use this site. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi, Mom! Welcome to the group. Now when we go to the library or bookstore and I say, "Oh, this book was recommended by so-and-so in the 75 book challenge group!" you will know what I am talking about. :)

Welcome Carol! I just read Christine Falls by Benjamin Black; I bought while visiting Ireland a couple of weeks ago and liked it a lot - passed it on to my man, who is also enjoying it. I intend on reading The Black Swan when I have cleared the deck of a lot of my own books - that might in another year! You might enjoy The Sea by John Banville (Black's real name), but it is an entirely different sort of book (won the Man Booker prize a few years ago).

Welcome, Carol! Hopefully, you and Marcia will read a lot of the same books so we'll not have so many more to add to our TBR lists! She's a killer for mine!

Hello and welcome to our chatty, friendly, well-read book. As you know, your daughter is a special young lady! She and I suffer from the same medical condition and provide support to each other.

Plus, I add quite a few of her books to my TBR (to be read) pile.

I hope you like it here! I'll be sure to check your thread often.
