*A short book that has to be taken with at least a shaker of salt. It is anti-Socrates, (and the only thorough-going anti-Socrates book I have ever seen). Easy to get hold of? --Not much "danger". I haven't seen a copy of it since the 1950s, and saw it then not in a public or U. library, but only because it had been left in a house that my family moved into. Winspear's {Genesis of Plato's Thought is a good book; it made winspear merit being put on my "Favorites: List

Supposedly there must have been a Richard the I somewhere in History tho, I hope
255rolandperkins
" . . .a Richard I somewhere in history..."
Yes. in the late 12th, early 13th century, the brother of the notorious King John who took over for Richard during a crusade that Richard went on. Curiously Shakespeare wrote a King John but no "Richard I". Historians have noted that Shakespeare's King John makes no mention of the most famous event during John's troubled reign: the signing of Magna Charta.
Richard fought the Muslim commander Saladin -- unsuccessfully. On the way back to Normandy-Enlgnad, Richard was captured in Austria by another Christian; he got back home only after being ransomed. He was "I" but is better known as "The Lion-hearted (Coeur de Lion)"
