"Never heard about eugenics and blacks. . ."

--Youʻre not hearing about "blacks" NOW. Black, however (note the upper case) is the author of a book of which the first word of the subtitle is "Eugenics"

"Poltroons in me" is an interesting phrase, whatever it means.
