I've just set up this group for those who do, or would like to read Scottish Gaelic, at any level. No expertise required, and posting in English. Not scary at all!

If you'd like to get a bit of encouragement to read in Gaelic, and have some fun on the way, then this group is for you.

Oops - you mean you're not telepathic? :)
The group "Reading Gàidhlig" is what I meant.
Sorry bout that!

I am not a part of your group yet, though I hope to be in the future. But, I have a question that I am having trouble with. My family motto is "I hope to speed" and I was hoping someone here could translate that into Scots-Gaelic for me.

> 6 Just seen this. It's quite difficult to translate, as Gaelic tends to prefer nouns to verbs in this sort of context. Perhaps "Dochas luathais" - "hope of speed"?? Corrections welcomed.
