I was triggered on this by this thread discussing split authors with no disambiguation notice. If we're ever going to get unique author pages, then getting the minimum biographical information of birth dates in the disambiguation notes has to be the first step. The bigger the lead-time we get on this task, the better, so I suggest that we get a zeitgeist page showing split authors. Adding to the Author zeitgeist (still with a fatal error, I note) would not be appropriate, as this should be a full list, and not just a 'top 25' - whatever that would represent.

I agree with you, even though I've never tried to put anything onto a zeitgeist page (or a wiki page).
For some authors, one may not be able to find a birth date, but one may find something else, like occupation (e.g. artist) or education (Yale University) which distinguishes the person.

I meant that the split authors would be harvested automatically, not specifically placed there by Thingamabrarians.
And yes, other disambiguating information would be just as valuable as dates: I just threw the first thing that came into my mind in as an example.
