Ended with a bang, like there was so much more to come. Overall, it was a pretty solid fantasy story, clearly defined characters with potential to grow and become something more. However, the abruptness of the ending killed a lot of the enjoyment of the book for me. It truly read like the opening shot of a trilogy, but there are no more books that follow. Which really makes the ending bothersome to me.

If you find it cheap, it's worth picking up. Otherwise, I'd not bother.
