Along with having delightful pictures, this book teaches the lesson of "look before you leap" and to realize that things are not always as they seem, especially if one takes the time to really look at what is happening to/around them. Good enough if read alone, but could open dialogue about how rumors get started and the importance of fact checking.
I’ve never read this book but after I did it was pretty interesting. The illustrations were pretty interesting and very colorful. It was interesting that the world was “breaking” up and the animals are trying to figure out what and why. I think this is a good book for any age.
a rabbit makes a mistake and the whole animal kingdom is furious that the rabbit lied but the tail ends up with the animal kingdom going back to normal

Worked well as a story time book.
The rabbit hears a noise and alerts the chickens, the chickens hear the noise and alert the sheep, the sheep think they hear and noise and alert the pony ( and so on). Eventually all of these animals realize that there was no actual noise and no danger to be head of. The moral of the story is to not make up rumors and wait till you find out what the actual problem is
Teach children single truth. Don't scared yourself. Don't trust a rumor without verify
