Again, enjoyable little story in the ASOIAF universe!
I'm quite attached to Dunk now, and especially Egg. ( )

I never read the novella this is adapted from, but the artwork and story were fantastic. A great thing to read while waiting for the next episode of Game of Thrones to come on! ( )

I'll admit that I was not really expecting much when I started this prequel trilogy novella... thing. But by the end, I was very much caught up in the story of Dunk and Egg, and this third (please don't let it be final, George!) chapter, we see how much both Dunk and Egg have grown and matured, and, even more intriguingly - how much more growth and maturity awaits them. What I liked best about this short story is how the story ended up in a much different place than I expected it to at the beginning. I've also really enjoyed this look into the life and culture of hedge knights - a term that was used quite often in ASOFAI, but really didn't mean much to me.
And finally - a note on the audiobook version: all three novellas were narrated by different men - the first one's voice was too soft and kind (think: Mr. Rogers), and not the best fit for this style of writing. The second one was much better, a bit more serious and adult sounding. However, with this third narrator, we're taking a step... sideways? While the first two readers(and the narrator of the ASOFAI books themselves) was either British or near enough as makes no difference, this narrator had a very distinctively flat American accent which was almost a distraction in itself, but his most grevious offense (IMO) was pronouncing "Ser" not as "Sir" but as "Sair". And in a story about hedge knights, "Ser" was just about in every sentence. ( )

Unhorsed for a bribe,
stolen Egg, now thrown in a well
sort yourself out, Dunk. ( )

It's nice to have a character in the ASOIAF universe that I can root for without caveats. And one with plot armor, if you know enough backstory already! I enjoyed all the little details and intrigue woven into this one. ( )
