Description

Dammit , just how many toes was she going to have to stomp on before people realized she was a Delicate Freakn' Flower?

Naomi doesn't want to follow tradition and settle down with a violence-loving, chest thumping shapeshifter. She grew up in a household with five, testosterone laden brothers where none of the dishes ever matched, the ugly-as-sin furniture could withstand any catastrophe, and where crazy glue was bought by the case.

When fate—with a snicker—makes her meet not one, but show more two mates, Naomi digs her heels in and refuses to do what her wolf—and her body—demands. No way is she voluntarily allowing herself to get hitched to a pair of dumbass—totally hot and muscled—lacrosse players.

Can Ethan, the towering Kodiak bear, and Javier, the sexy, tanned jaguar convince this she-wolf that life with them won't be all chaos? And can this delicate freakn' flower unbend her prejudices enough to recognize she needs a pair of men who can handle her thorns—and her passion?

I loved this book about a female shifter who is utterly dismayed when she discovers that she has not one but two destined mates -- and they are hockey players! Naomi comes from a family of rough and tumble men, and she craves a quiet home where she can have beautiful, delicate possessions and not have them broken. The idea of having *two* rough and tumble mates sets her running for the hills.

Except that her gorgeous, patient, passionate mates are committed to proving that they can be gentle and careful as well as rough and ready. . .

This book is laugh out loud funny, tender, and hot. I love MFM romances, so that was a big plus for me, but if you don't like that kind of relationship you'll want to skip this one.
"4 out of 5 stars! A tough woman finds out what she's really looking for in a man, while dealing with the two men fate sent her.

Even though I don't typically like wishy-washy characters I still liked Naomi because she truly owned being the way she was, especially when she stated, “I’m such an indecisive ninny.” in Chapter 10."

Lets get the negative out of the way first.
Why 4 instead of 5 stars? There are editing errors that consist of extra words in the wrong place and missing words. I tend to make a note of each error as I run across them. I counted 11 instances. I know I missed a few. Also, about 70% into the story the mystery of who was trying to frighten Naomi felt a bit sluggish. Everything picked back up very show more quickly though.
The entire story is very comical and entertaining. Naomi is priceless! The last thing she wants is to be mated to a shifter, much less 2! She is determined to have a chaos free life. She is fiery and scrappy. She is a Delicate Freakn' Flower! NOT!
Ethan and Javier are both hot Lacrosse players. They both bring their own humor into the story. They are best friends and both feel the mating call for Naomi. Together they plan and scheme to win her over. Oh, and they have her mother on their side.
It is a sensuous, erotic and truly fun story to read. I enjoyed it so much I looked up the next book in this series. It is 'Jealous And Freakn' (Freakn' Shifters Book 2). On Amazon it says it is 225 pages and cost 3.99. It looks like there are 7 books in the series. They appear to all be priced the same. So I checked on Goodreads and she has bundles listed!! I love bundles!!
Ms. Eve Langlais now has a shelf on my goodreads and has made it to my series following shelf.

I noticed this one when it was released, but I never bought it, so when it was offered as a free read I downloaded it. And I am glad I did. I loved this book in so many ways. It was funny, filled with snark and snappy comebacks. I loved Naomi, Her snarkiness, her determination to keep her independence. She was scarred by the past, and her reasoning made sense. She knew exactly what she wanted- which was to not mate with a shifter. Thank you very much. Ethan and Jared are determined to show her she is wrong. And how they do it. They start a sensual feast. A long courtship, that lasts until they have convinced Nicole that she needs a shifter.

But now for the things I didn't like. When it comes to the plot, the suspense subplot felt tacked show more on and unnecessary. I didn't feel that it added anything to the story. There were a few minor typos, but the thing that annoyed me most was the formatting... I have no idea why, but the spacing was 1,5 lines Why? Since it gives an unprofessional impression.

Will I get more books? Oh definitely. I loved this book, and the major flaw is fixable.

A nice little novella. It felt complete in itself. Many times stories feel shoe horned into the shorter format. I'd have been happy if it were longer but it didn't need to be. This one was all there. The writing was fresh, amusing and well done. The shifter guys were hot and sweet and there was enough detail to set the world up with out bogging the story done or making you wonder huh? I will definitely try more by this author.
Great, fast, sexy read. Naomi was spunky and cute. Javier, debonair and sexy. Ethan, earthy and smoldering. The so-called mystery wasn't even needed because the sexual tension and growing emotional connection between these three kept me turning pages. It seemed tacked on and out of place.

Seems like Naomi's friend gets some lovin' in the next book. Bring it on! I'm definitely a fan of these freakn' shifters!
This is the first book of this type that I've ever read, and I have to say that I enjoyed it immensely. I think I found a guilty pleasure. I really loved the characters and their developments. However, I do think the story could have had just a bit more depth and interest with the plot. I liked it, but I was too easily satisfied with a happy ending answer to everything. I would have enjoyed a bit more mystery perhaps, or a little more drama in that department. Perfect, however, in the romance department. Very well written. I went through it in one sitting.

Just a note: very erotic, so readers beware.
