Description

In the spring of 334 BC the twenty-two-year-old King Alexander led an army of 50,000 men on the most ambitious conquest of ancient times. It was to take them from Greece, across Asia Minor, to India. Combining his extraordinary military skills with diplomacy and a burning sense of destiny, the young king proved himself one of the greatest generals the world has known.
