This story enraptured me within the first 15 pages and thats no lie. it truly takes alot for me to truly fall in love with a story and become obsessed and this one does it. There will be times you will love Pearl and times you want to throttle her but in the end you want her to find her Prince Charming and she truly does or does she?? Alexandre is sexy, sophisticated, accomplished, young and a Sex God but can he truly fall in love with a woman who has experienced more years on this planet then he has. Who in the end is the Teacher and who is the "awakened" student?? I truly relate to Pearl's insecurities as a woman trying to define herself in this society which is always glorifying the perfect, young and fit. yes I am only 29 but trust show more mee when i say insecurities for perfection come at any age, and yes, the love scenes were hot but did make me laugh at times because it was outrageous but thats the fun part. No matter what you get out of this story it will leave you breathless and wanting more. A great emotional ride. You will not be disappointed!! show less
This is a mature romance between a 40 yr old woman and a 25 yr old man. It is a hurricane of emotions with a touch of dominance. Their physical love is engrossing and HOT!

This book is well written, with characters well defined where you become so involved it plays in your mind like a movie. MUST READ! About time someone wrote a love story of a 40 yr old woman. She is old enough to appreciate the affair. At her age let no one say that feelings and passion cannot consume you. These two are on FIRE! Could not put this book down.

You are a talented writer and I am glad to have found you.
This book was pretty weak. The main characters (but especially the leading lady) didn't behave as they were described! For example, the leading lady is 40 years old, described as independent and intelligent. Yet, she acts like a 20-something year-old, clingy and moronic.

Within ONE DAY she's completely useless and clingily obsessed with the guy. And the guy isn't much better as far as staying in character (but his character at least does a better job of it!)

The entire book is basically unbelievable in that it seems extremely unlikely that the characters would behave as they do, especially in the time frame! It's also boring. Even the 'action' is dull.

I did like one thing though, and that's the informative bits she embedded in the book, show more those were fun. Tips from Héloise type things and pretty good suggestions for rock climbing! hehehe.

All in all I found this book to be weak, at best, and ridiculous for the most part. I sure won't be reading the rest of the series, or anything else she may have written fort that matter.

I downloaded it on a freebie day on Amazon. At first I was skeptical of the title, thinking it was just going to be a parody of FSOG but this book was really good. I read it in one night. Pearl Robinson draws you in to her thoughts from the first chapter. We have all been there, had disastrous relationship after disastrous relationship then you meet someone you more attuned to. Alexandre sounded delicious, perhaps too perfect but then his troubles start showing through. The sexual scenes were as they should be, hot and descriptive. Looking forward to the second book which hopefully is out in November?
I am not going to go into detail over the premise of these books, nor am I going to go into detail over the plot. You will have to read these books on your own to get the big picture. Now this trilogy is similar to Fifty Shades in many ways and in many ways it stands out on its own. Like Fifty Shades, you have to read all three books to truly enjoy the story. The plot is similar and dissimilar. Rich guy meets girl who intrigues him.... Well that's where the difference begins. First off, Pearl is 40. By definition, she is a cougar. A cougar that falls for the ever-so-rich Alexandre. If you are looking for steamy sex, it's right here. If you are looking for shock and awe, it is right here. If you are looking for drama and deep seeded show more pasts, again right here. You are probably wondering why I gave this trilogy an overall 3.75. Well, honestly, I wasn't enthralled. I had to come back to these books a few times. They didn't keep me on the edge of my seat. The story, overall, is very good. I just wasn't hooked with this trilogy. Others may feel differently than I do. This story didn't quite do it for me. I can respect the talent and imagination it takes to make the story and the back story to unfold, therefore, I had to rate and write this review as an overall, rather than one by one. show less
Picked up this from a Goodreads list and how glad am I that i did!

Pearl is an experience woman with secrets, Alexandre is a wealthy 25 year old who falls for this older lady hook, line and sinker!

There are many twists and turns and a cliffhanger to finish but fortunately the whole series has been published so I just 1-clicked the next, and then the next!

If you liked 50 Shades then in all honesty don't expect to find Pearl tied and spanked, Alexandre isn't that type of character, but they are both strong characters and even thought there isn't totally in the 50 shades et al genre its definitely a hot read!

I had been fighting reading this book for a while. The title was just too cliche after Fifty Shades. I still think it is...regardless, I enjoyed the book.
