Marty Matthews was sucked from earth to a female dominated world in space. No more than a few weeks later after just getting to learn about the Wani, they are invaded by the Q'an for harboring insurrectionists and Marty is captured as a sex slave for Kil, the King of Morak. From the beginning things are off in their relationship; she is not submissive but is empathetic to his needs; he finds he wants no other slave and is not complete without her. Interesting variation on the other Sacred Mate scenarios. Another okay erotic tale.
Marty is a bra burning feminist from 1967 who gets sucked into a wormhole and hurled through time and dimensions. When she gets out of the wormhole 10 Yessat years (100 human years) have passed, she has aged 10 years and is no longer on earth. She winds up on a planet of Amazonian type women where she trains with them to become a warrior and adopts the name Mari. Kil finds her here and claims her for his bound woman but she isn't going to make life easy for a warrior too dense to recognize his own Sacred Mate. This was a great story and Marty was just the type of person someone like Kil needed.
This is the third book in the trek mi q'an series, and I think the first book I ever read. It's a romp, silly, makes no sense, with 8 foot alien kings taking women as spoils of war. King Kil saw his mother brutally murdered and has shut himself off from feelings ever since. He captures a 'wee one' a tiny (for him) woman on an alien planet and brings her back to his harem, where she will be one of the many to have copious sex with him, but it doesn't quite work that way. Marty is a child of the 60's who in finds herself on an alien planet, bonds with the female warriors there and then is captured by a fearsome male warrior. Much sex ensues. too much sex? All kinds of sex. No men on men, but lots of ménage, lots of women on women, lots show more of sex in every orifice (though not explicitly anal) Lots of oral sex. Lots of sex.

It's a fun, mindless read. I kept it in my reread pile, I've reread it now and will keep it for another few years and reread it again. Not deep or clever or even romantic, but silly and kind of sweet.

Titillating erotic sci-fi about Marty a civil rights protester from the 1960's and Kil a futuristic warrior from a different dimension. I liked the story but the short threads hinting at characters in the rest of the series were more enticing.
This is the 3rd book I've read in this series. I like that Jaid changed up how Kil found his mate compared to his brothers. However, I did not like that Death's mini-story was a lot similar. Spoiler alert: Basically Kil and Death didn't realize they had met their mates until they couldn't find them again. Hopefully the next one I read by Jaid will get better.
Hippy, activist Marty suddenly finds herself on an alien planet, lost and scared. She is found and taken in three warrior women. Sometimes it feels like I'm reading porn vs. an erotic romance.
