Dedication
First words
This is the second volume of a two-volume commentary on the Hebrew text of Psalms. Introductory comments, the general introduction, and the commentary on Psalms 1 to 72 are in the first volume. An index of the word studies and special studies found in both volumes is located at the end of this volume.
The People's Bible Commentary is just what the name implies -- a Bible and commentary for the people.

The Book of Psalms consists of five subdivisions called "books."
