This is really a 2 star read. I guess I gave it the other star because it's Lynne Graham and she's a favorite of mine. This book ultimately lacked conflict. I am reading this series but this was the weakest of the three so far. The reason that the heroine was so bitter and all was just not real realistic. I felt like everything was sort of checked off of a list. So pretty formulaic. The heroes actions don't make much sense either.

Still, I am looking forward to the fourth and final sister's book. ( )

A root-for-the-heroine love story ....... no spoilers

Emmie is a hard working and independent gal, trying to advance her career while flying under the radar. While living with her estranged mother, she is guilted into an escort situation with none other than the owner of the company where she is working as an intern.

Bastian is the rich, gorgeous Greek owner of a computer company, who find himself in need of a "girlfriend" to cover the recent breakup of a relationship.

Both parties approach their association with some trepidation, but over time warm (and heat!) up to each other. There is, of course, the necessary drama and turmoil. All ends well with this stand-alone book.

Quite enjoyable and easy to read. ( )

While Lynne Graham does write different plot scenarios into her romance fiction, she does follow predictable cliches and formula. Here it's no different, and that gets taxing as it pulls away some of the unpredictability. The hero is likeable enough, especially with the description and emphasis of the golden eyes with black lashes. The heroine is also decent; Graham writes vulnerable heroines among the best of them. The ending is sweet, but a little abrupt with it's change, guess the book had to wrap up to the inevitable conclusion. There is some tension, although not much, and the storyline is decent but not overwhelmingly exciting or anything. ( )
