I read this book in grade school and I remember it having a strong impression on me- I went on to become a professor of biochemistry and this book did manage to spark an early interest. The essays on chemistry and scientific discovery are wonderfully written. Asimov's non fiction is not as well appreciated as his fictional works but they are just as worthy of a read. ( )
