Description

From New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones, an Inside Out series e-short told from Mark's point of view, as he battles his all-consuming desire for Crystal.
I am a Master, all about control, and yet right now, facing great tragedy, I feel as if I have none. I find sanctuary in the one place I've promised I will never be again, but cannot seem to resist. Her arms.

I feel her hunger, taste her passion, as if this is her escape, too, as if she is running from something I do not show more know, burying it in this kiss. It calls to me, drives me to want more, tells me she does know loneliness. She knows pain and it is that pain that is bringing us here, to this moment. It's why me as Master and her as submissive do not matter. Why I crave every touch, every stroke of her tongue. show less

I can't get enough of Mark and Crystal! No matter what Mark says the end has not come. I don't think that's possible. He might be messed up about the whole Rebecca situation, but I think that Crystal can make him move on. I just want them together...

The fact that Rebecca's body has yet to be found makes me uneasy. I keep thinking that somehow she is not dead and she will show up and complicate everything. I know that it sounds crazy, but you never know. I guess I will have to wait until Revealing us to see what is going to happen.

Mark is not the master anymore and to be honest I was expecting something more from him. I hope that will be remedied. The blurb for My Control, the next novella about Mark's story, sounds very promising:

I show more have lost the man I once was, letting guilt and heartache define who I am. Darkness has controlled me, and one woman has seen what no one else has seen in me, what I do not wish to exist. My hunger for her has driven me to the edge of sanity, but no more. She's about to find out that the Master has returned.

And if I am lucky the she is referring to Crystal and not Rebecca. But, if I want to be honest I will have to admit that I liked the idea of Rebecca and Mark together. I am curious about what will happen next. Crystal is not a submissive and Mark is a master. It's going to be quite a journey.

Always glad for a break from Chris and Sara. Mark and Crystal are so well matched that it's a pleasure reading their stories. Crystal is much more my speed and Mark, well, Mark is Mark. The problem with this novella is the problem I have with all of them. It's a teaser and just leaves me wanting more. Which I suppose is what the authors want but still, I often wish it was just added into a full length book itself. Anyway, don't miss this one if you want a more well rounded picture of Mark and Crystal.
I have very mixed emotions about My Hunger. While I really like it a lot, it was just missing something to me. Don’t ask me what exactly because I can’t answer you but something was off! With that being said, I love the Mark & Crystal, she’s not submissive at all but yet smart enough to sense the danger and know when to give in!! Then there is Mark who is so so careful now or at least that’s the vibe I get from him. The weight of everything is pulling him so far under I assume its only a matter of time before he breaks! I also love how these books fill in gaps that you didn’t know were missing in the whole Inside Out Series

First off... You need to read all of the books in this series before you read this. It is not a standalone. It is what is going on with Mark while Chris and Sara are in Paris.

In this novella we get to know more about Mark, finally. We have gotten pieces of him in the previous books. Now we have one all on him. We get to go into his head and see who he really is.

I really enjoyed this novella. It is yet another compliment to the series. Lisa is very genius with keeping this series going. One would think that with a series with soooo many books and novellas, that the story would get boring or old. However, it is quite the contrary. She keeps making you want more and more with every single word! So hang on tight, be prepared for more Mark show more in the future! show less
Much better then Chris's POV..it has substance, and info to further Mark's story
