Billed as a regency novel this feels more Victorian, but it could be in any period in the 19th century which was one of the main flaws of the novel. Once the plot of Jonathan pretending to be his half-wit half-brother is put aside it's quite a fun read. Nothing earthshattering but a sweet romance of wto people trying to come to terms with their own complicated lives. As someone who has played music I could understand the fear of losing the ability and how it could colour a person's outlook, and this was deftly handled. ( ) no reviews | add a review

Which Was The True Jonathan Chadwick? The childlike innocent or the sophisticated cynic who despised society? Whatever the man's mysteries, Kathryn Wainwright was determined to uncover them. Especially when her incessant questions uncovered a passionate soul that she found herself helpless to resist. Jonathan Chadwick swore there could not exist a more maddening woman than Kathryn Wainwright. The cheeky writer for an outrageous gossip sheet seemed hell-bent on destroying him. And the desire that flared between them was becoming impossible to ignore! No library descriptions found. |
