I got this book from the library because I had read a review of Gilmore's new book No Excuses Detox, which wasn't yet available at my library, so thought I'd check out this one in the meantime. In addition to recipes, the author explains her strategies for combining foods for healthier digestion and natural weight loss. I have to admit I just skimmed the science portion as well as the food lists and combo charts. I was mainly interested in the recipes. I ended up marking 12 of them "to try." Some of the recipes that I passed over didn't seem hearty enough (no protein) or too involved, or else I already have a similar version.
