The sequel isn't quite as good as Book 1. I especially thought the pacing was very uneven with longish stretches of Allison's story as a successful novelist and then, towards the end, a whole lot of action and an abruptly quick ending. Still, the author is a good writer.
And so we return to the little town that sin hasn't forgotten. Allison's novel is being published much to the horror of certain Peyton Place folks. Norman's mom is trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes. And Allison is having a little fling with... If I told you the rest you wouldn't want to read it. So-so.
