The Netherfield Affair: A Dark Darcy Mystery

This romantic regency mystery is well written, engaging and loosely based on characters found in Jane Austen’s book “Pride and Prejudice”. This is a simple sweet tale that solves the mystery of the thief in the Bingley home and introduces characters that will no doubt be found in the next three books in the Dark Darcy series. I especially enjoyed the part near the end in which Darcy tells Emily what he found out about the ghostly face in the attic window. As I was reading I felt that this is a book I would recommend to teenage girls who might be interested in a regency romance.

This was an adorable story. A cute piece of fan-fiction / variation that fitted in neatly within the original story, without taking liberties towards the original or be disrespectful to the original in any way. This is exactly how variations/fan-fiction should be.

In this Pride and Prejudice variation, while Elizabeth in staying at Netherfield attending to an ill Jane, strange events occur - ghostly faces in windows, items disappearing and strangers arriving in the dead of night. And of course Caroline Bingley.
