I made a few of the recipes, the granola, quinoa/black bean salad, beet smoothie, and toasted pumpkin seeds. The salad and pumpkin seeds were good, especially together, but the granola burnt and beets in a smoothie are kind of weird. I read both this and the Run Fast, Cook Fast, East Slow. I liked the info better in this book, and the recipes are more unique. ( ) Are you an athlete looking for recipes that will fuel your workouts, help you recover, and work to nourish and support your body? This cookbook is a wonderful collection of healthy recipes and tips from a collaboration between an Olympic athlete and a chef, who both know the importance of taking care of their hard-working bodies. While I personally work to steer clear of animal products, which this cookbook does use in some of the recipes, I still found a good stack of recipes that I can't wait to try out!
