Preposterous and marvelous art work by the Dugins. The story pales in comparison. In fact, I doubt I’ll ever bother to read it through; but I will certainly return to savoring the illustrations.
I'm really not sure why Madonna thought she should write this book... It's not particularly interesting or unique as a pseudo-folktale, and it doesn't seem to have any connection with her life.
Written by Madonna, who takes us on a fantasy trip to a land far, far away and weaves a tale of adventure. Abdi is given the task of delivering the most precious necklace in the world to the queen, but there are twist and turns along the way. 4th-8th grade.
