wolfjack Both books take place in the World of Darkness, a wonderful place for paranormal predators but not the humans they prey on.

This book was my introduction into White Wolfs World of Darkness, and it happens to be from Vampire the Masquerade.
This is the 1st book in the Masquerade of the Red Death trilogy. I thought it was a great book and an excellent intro into the World of Darkness and the Vampires. It gave a great overview of the 'rules' of Vampires and the story was really interesting. By the end of the book I could barely wait to get the next one in the series.
Fire is anthema to Vampires who tend to go up like a match, but there is a vampire predicting Gehenna, the vampires end times. He appears suddenly wreathed in flames destroying others with his incindiary touch. Our hero who gets to find out what is going on appears to be a powerful Mage and he has show more some deep secrets of his own. show less

A great book. I really enjoyed it. It is smooth and fast paced. An inspiration for the World of Darkness created by White Wolf. Characters are very colorful even when they are in shades of blacks and whites, the grey between colors and good and evil. The Trilogy is, thus far, my favorite series. I highly recommend this book and the other two in the series.
