3208. Eminent Victorian Soldiers / Seekers of Glory, by Byron Farwell (read June 17, 1999) Farwell writes good though popular history, and since I so enjoyed some of his other books (Queen Victoria's Little Wars (read 16 Nov 1973) and The Great Anglo-Boer War (read 6 Nov 1976)) I decided to read this book, which was published in 1985.This is very easy reading and tho footnoteless (practically) I enjoyed reading about the 8 amazing generals he writes about.
