Shenanigans is another good addition to the treasury of Valdemar tales.
I found a couple stories less able to hold my complete interest than others, and a few were wonderful. I was also delighted to return to familiar friends like the Dann family (by Fiona Patton).
Anthologies are almost by definition a mixed bag of stories usually developed around a theme and this one is no different. Reading enjoyment as with so many things in life is subjective. We all have preferences and opinions.
I think this has a bit of something for everyone and would definitely recommend it.
I received this ARC from DAW and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

An anthology of lightweight (even for) Valdemar stories. The humor isn't the lol, more the painful grin, sort. If you don't like puns bail on the story that starts with cows indoors.
These anthologies are always good, but this one was particularly fun as all the stories were humorous this time around. Even Companions can join in when planning pranks.
Another collection of stories set in Valdemar. There are a few that continue the adventures from previous collections but not as many as previous collections. There are more lighthearted stories in this one that prove the title is the theme to a lot but not all the stories in this year’s crop. A great gift for a fan of the series.
