I'm writing this review just a week after 1500 people charged, convicted, or sentenced in connection with the rioting at the US Capitol on Jan 6, 2020, have received a pardon, or in some cases, had their sentences commuted.

Some day there will be a more illuminating book than this, a book which examines the riot itself, and the four year Democrat response; the histrionics, the candlelight vigils, and the politically motivated violations of due process.

This book is a sequence of personal testimonials, speculations, anecdotes, and acknowledgements by the person most strongly connected with the only organization that attempted to help the J6 detainees, the Patriot Freedom Project, and some associates.

What can we learn from this book? That show more the only person willing to devote sustained effort to the assistance of these people was a person not so very well off herself and that she began all her work because she was trying to help her nephew. And that she and her nephew were sustained by Christian beliefs that I do not understand at all.

I've been reading a lot about the early history of the United States. When George Washington was President, he lead an army into Pennsylvania to suppress the Whiskey Rebellion. Some participants were killed. But he chose to pardon several, essentially offering the opinion that they had been misled and wouldn't do it again. The Biden administration really missed an opportunity when it decided to persecute instead of pardon these J6ers, many of whom had no previous criminal record. I think it is apparent in retrospect that the Biden administration didn't have the vision for such a unifying action as even a bunch of selective pardons; petty and expensive vindictiveness was the best it could manage.

Five stars for being the only book sympathetic to the J6ers in existence at this time.
