As in Mythago Wood, an explorer, Huxley, meets 'mythagos of heroes/heroines, but this time from prehistory, encountering Ash the shaman and the Burning Man on a horse. And this time the mythagos get access to the present day...
Holdstock remains hit-and-miss for me.
A really enjoyable diversion
