Every town has a place like the mound - a place where lovers go to meet, picnic and sleigh ride. But for Oscala, New York, the mound has become a place of terror. I found that this story started out very scary, but then turned very much science fiction. I don't really like science fiction too much. I give it a B+!
I really enjoyed this book, it was easy to get into and I found myself reading just one more chapter to find out what would happen next.
I enjoyed the book. I've seen the author interviewed, and this story was what he discussed—an exciting premise worthy of thought.
This was a suspenseful book with horror and surprises from unexpected directions. Just as I thought the characters would be ok, a new horror appeared and made things worse.
