This is one of the best novella's that I've read and if you are anywhere near as sick as I am about all the BS disinformation we have been bombard with for the past decade, read this amazing fantasy. It's funny and wonderful and makes we want to read more about I'd liked him ever since I'd read about him chatting with somebody in his office at the Baltimore Sun and then suddenly looking out the window, saying, "The sons of bitches are gaining on us!" and frantically beginning to type. That was how I felt about twice a day, and more than once I'd muttered to myself, "Where the hell is Mencken when we need him?" I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Connie Willis is incapable of writing bad stuff. She has a great concept (professional skeptics debunking charlatans), twists (three very good ones, including a very satisfying end twist), and characters right out of a good film noir. Easy to fall into, easy to enjoy, and easy to give 5 stars. no reviews | add a review

Rob, a professional debunker, is watching yet another performance by a supposed psychic. But as she calls forth the spirit entity known as Isus, another voice suddenly interrupts. And this one is so unexpected and so real, even the hardened skeptic finds he can't help but believe. No library descriptions found. |
